Summary
The Void Cave Ambush
The session begins with Elric_Lightborn trapped in a dark void cave, where he is ambushed by Firefly, a cocky mercenary assassin employing explosive firefly constructs. A desperate aerial battle ensues, with Elric_Lightborn utilizing his newly acquired Ring_of_the_Missile_Mage and Sky_Mage_Harness_of_Armor to survive the onslaught.
Ikarin’s Intervention
Just as Elric_Lightborn is pinned down, Ikarin arrives in his true form—an avatar of lightning—and obliterates Firefly with a massive strike. Ikarin is revealed to be Elric_Lightborn’s uncle and a powerful Progenitor, formerly known as “The Echo.”
Goldenfields Burns
They return to the surface to find Goldenfields burning. The village—Elric_Lightborn’s childhood home—has been destroyed. Elric_Lightborn discovers Asmalon’s bloodied robe among the ruins, suggesting she has been hurt or taken.
Lazarus’s Message
A Clockwork_Spy projects a message from Lazarus, Elric_Lightborn’s estranged stepbrother and the primary antagonist. Lazarus reveals:
- He has kidnapped Asmalon
- He plans to seize the “Ark of Creation”
- He hates Progenitors and seeks their destruction
Elric_Lightborn destroys the spy in rage.
The Progenitor Sanctuary
Ikarin teleports Elric_Lightborn to a secret Progenitor vault deep within Undermountain in Waterdeep. There, Ikarin reveals crucial family history:
- Varrakis is Elric_Lightborn’s biological father (deceased)
- Asmalon is his aunt (though he considers her his mother)
- Lazarus is his stepbrother seeking vengeance
The Awakening Ritual
Inside the vault, Elric_Lightborn undergoes an agonizing ritual in a sarcophagus, fully awakening his Progenitor heritage. His capabilities are massively enhanced:
