Biography
Firefly is a mercenary working for Elric’s estranged family. He ambushed Elric in a void-like cavern using a swarm of explosive drone constructs. Despite his aerial superiority, he was forced to retreat when Ikarin intervened with devastating lightning attacks.
Appearance & Personality
Firefly cuts a silhouette of industrial menace against the sky, suspended by a hum of anti-gravity magic emitted from his heavy, brass-and-steel “Sky Mage” harness. He is clad in reinforced aeronaut’s leathers, stained with oil and soot, with a helmet that obscures his face behind a multi-lens visor glowing with targeting data. His most terrifying feature is not a weapon he holds, but the cloud of “fireflies”—small, buzzing mechanical constructs—that orbit him like a lethally bright solar system. These drones pulse with unstable amber light, casting erratic shadows across his form, ready to detach and streak toward their targets as explosive ordinance. He moves with the weightless arrogance of a man for whom gravity is merely a suggestion, often hovering just out of reach while his swarm does the dirty work.
A mercenary to his core, Firefly treats combat with the casual detachment of a hazardous materials disposal expert. He is professionally sadistic, masking his cruelty behind a veneer of “just business” and a distinct, cocky drawl that belies the precision of his attacks. He enjoys the psychological edge his aerial superiority gives him, often mocking his ground-bound opponents as “little bastards” or “ants” before raining destruction upon them. There is no zealotry in his actions, only the cold calculus of the contract; however, he takes a twisted pride in his gear and his reputation, becoming genuinely offended if a target proves resilient enough to scratch his paint or, worse, ignore him.

Firefly ambushed Elric in the void cave using explosive constructs. The aerial battle was interrupted by Ikarin’s devastating lightning storm, forcing Firefly to retreat.
