Biography
Kate Wetcher was a servant at Silvercrest Estate who was fired for theft. Despite this, she courageously went to the Slaughterhouse to rescue fairies, including Bean.
She was captured by the Shadow Hand and ended up in Skullport, where Matron Malice captured and brainwashed her. She was presented to Elric as a “gift” alongside Lyra, forced to say “We are yours, master.”
Appearance & Personality
Once a modest servant girl, the Kate Wetcher who stands before Elric is a haunting, hollowed-out shell of her former self. Dressed in the revealing silken finery of a Drow pleasure slave, the exposed skin feels like a violation of the quiet dignity she once held. Her eyes, previously bright with spark, are now glazed and vacant, staring through people. She stands with terrifying stillness, her posture unnaturally rigid and submissive, like a marionette waiting for the master’s hand.
The tragedy of Kate lies in the total erasure of her will. The brave, defiant girl who risked everything for the helpless is buried under layers of heavy psychic conditioning. She speaks in monotone, rehearsed cadence, her vocabulary reduced to expressions of submission — “We are yours, master.” There is no spark of recognition, no flash of fear, only terrifying empty obedience of a mind that has been broken and reset.
