Nirek
Quick Reference
Race Progenitor Class Necromancer Father Rathma (Monarch of Death) Status Friendly
Biography
Nirek is a Progenitor and son of Rathma, the Monarch of Death—one of the Twelve Monarchs. Despite this dark lineage, Nirek possesses an “outdated sense of honor” that other Progenitors find amusing.
He serves the Tower of Art in Basque as one of the Nine Liches, though he is not actually a lich. He maintains an alter ego using a robe, mask, hat, and chains that make him appear as an old, haggard man. He has served this role for almost 40 years because he genuinely loves necromancy and the environment there.
Appearance & Personality
One eye is bright, luminous blue; the other is burning blood-dark red with an ancient Progenitor arcane seal glowing in its center. This is his “Evil Eye,” which he rarely uses. He appreciates fair fights and has been called “honorable to a fault” by his peers.

Campaign Chronicle
Session 10: The Gathering
Stepped back from the Battle of Wills to let Elric fight Pyre one-on-one, seeing the two-on-one as dishonorable. Bought Elric drinks at a tavern and offered to spar with him in Ikaran’s arena. Shared information about the Progenitor “Gathering” and warned Elric about Pyre.
