The Watchtower rose from the stone heart of Waterdeep like a crystallized bolt of lightning frozen mid-strike—a spire of pale granite and enchanted glass that seemed to hum with barely contained magical energy. Its walls were etched with protective wards visible only at the corner of one’s vision, sigils that shifted and crawled like living scripture. The structure commanded the northern skyline of the Castle Ward, its pinnacle crowned with seven eternal flames that burned in colors no natural fire could produce—one for each Wand who called the tower home.

Within those hallowed halls, the air itself tasted of ozone and old parchment, carrying whispers of a thousand arcane experiments conducted through the centuries. The interior defied casual geometry; corridors bent in ways that confused the uninitiated, while scrying chambers offered windows into distant events. The interrogation level, three floors below street level, held rooms warded against lies and escape, where the city’s magical transgressors faced the measured judgment of the Wands. It was here, in the cold blue light of truth-binding circles, that Patrick once conducted sessions that left even hardened criminals weeping.

Elric was taken to the Watchtower by Patrick and the Seven Wands for interrogation after the magical disturbance caused by Solarin’s fire trap. Ikaran burst through the doors, destroyed a table with a touch, and intimidated the Wands into releasing Elric.
