Description
The Nagloshi are ancient shapeshifting entities—true body snatchers who predate humanity and view mortals as both playthings and prey. When imprisoned, they appear as dark masses contained within solid blocks of clear quartz crystal, making the transparent stone appear like black marble. When freed, their true forms are amorphous and terrifying.
Nature & Abilities
Shapeshifting
The Nagloshi are true shapeshifters—they can assume the form of any living creature with perfect accuracy. They absorb all memories and knowledge of their victims, becoming virtually indistinguishable from the original. The only tell is that “something seems off” about them—their intentions no longer match the person they’ve replaced.
Alignment
Chaotic Evil - The Nagloshi don’t just kill their prey; they enjoy watching mortals suffer. They view humans not merely as food but as “excellent playthings”—mice to be toyed with before consumption.
Relationship to Progenitors
The Nagloshi and Progenitors are cousins or subspecies of the same ancient race. Unlike Progenitors, who had descendants and legacies, the Nagloshi never reproduced—their entire species was sealed away before they could establish bloodlines.
Imprisonment
The Progenitors locked the entire Nagloshi species within Undermountain. Each Nagloshi is contained in a sarcophagus of solid quartz crystal, and the mountain itself is constructed from these containment units. Ikaran serves as the prison’s warden.
